Glazing Types

FENESTA RECOMMENDS USE OF TOUGHENED GLASS FOR OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE OF WINDOWS AND DOORS.

Toughened glass is approximately 4 times stronger than annealed/float glass. Toughened glass is impact resistant and when it is broken it shatters into small pieces.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should be the thickness of window glass for Noise insulation and Thermal insulation?

The depth of the window rabbet determines the total thickness of insulating glazing (generally 24 or 28 mm). Increasing the thickness of the Double Glazed glass decreases the width of the gap containing the inert gas (e.g. argon) while installing the glazing, but that comes at the expense of thermal comfort.

What is Double glazing (DG) window?

A window with two panes of glass is referred as double glazing window. These type of windows are widely known for its noise and thermal insulation properties.
