Windows need variety of hardware options like handles, locking systems and hinges.
Fenesta offers a variety of each. Make sure you match the hardware with the appropriate
window type.
HOW TO SELECT HARDWARE FOR YOUR WINDOW
Hardware options for Slider Window
Mandatory Rollers: Stainless steel for weight bearing sash. Nylon for bug screens. Load bearing capacity: up to 120Kg per sliding sash. Capable of handling large panels of double/triple glass.
Multipoint locking: Locks the window/door panels at more than one point for better sealing and security. Both key locking and non-key locking options available.
Bump Stop: The mechanism prevents the slider window/door panels from banging into each other and the main frame.
Hardware options for Slider Door
Rollers: Stainless steel for weight bearing sashes.
Hardware options for Casement Windows
Multipoint locking (Espagnollette): This special system locks the window at several points of the frame for airtight and watertight sealing and better security.
The Friction Hinge: Keeps a window open in place in the face of strong winds. Made from stainless steel, the friction hinge is both corrosion-free and long lasting.
Steel with zinc coating for normal applications
Stainless steel 304 grade (for coastal areas)
Hardware options for Casement Doors
Locking cylinder in the handle: 6-pin anti drill/-anti-pick locking cylinder. Locks and unlocks with a key from one side or from both sides.
Multipoint locking (Espagnollette): The door locks at five points for airtight and watertight sealing and better security.
3D (3-Dimensional) Hinge: 3D adjustment allows the door to be always perfectly aligned and sealed when closed. Allows 180-degree opening.
The stainless steel hinge can bear loads up to 180 kilograms. This means that it can serve windows with security panels and heavy double glass.
Hardware options for Tilt and Turn windows Mandatory
T&T Hardware locking mechanism
T&T hardware covers the entire periphery of the open-able sash and ensures proper sealing because of the locking points at different positions all across the window. The handle rotates through 180 degree. The window opens inwards when the handle is turned 90 degrees and tilts inward when the handle is turned 180 degrees. Anti mishandling device does not allow the handle to be turned when the window is either opened or tilted. The handle can be turned only when the window is shut.
