Combination window is an integration of two windows of the same type (like casement-casement) or different types (casement-slider or fixed-slider).

Choose the Right Type of Window

Type 1 (Bay Window - Classic)
Type 1 (Bay Window - Classic)

Description

A combination of three or more windows that projects outward from the main walls forming a bay in a room, either square or polygonal. The projected windows can be at an angle of 90 degrees or 135 degrees with each other. Two ( or more) windows are combined with the help of a bay pole.

Type 2 (Fixed and Slider Combination)
Type 2 (Fixed and Slider Combination)

Description

Fixed window comes below or above (or both) the slider window. This is available only in the heavy duty range.

Recomended for

  • High rise apartments and bunglows that require both ventilation. Typically in high rises the bottom part of the window is kept fixed for security.
  • Exceptionally wide/high aperture.
  • Ideal for windows on higher levels that start from the floor.

Advantages

  • Design flexibility.
  • Integrated bug screen for slider part (optional).
  • Designs that ensure excellent aesthetics.
  • Integration happens on the same plane. Lower part of the window can be fixed and upper part open-able for security reasons.
Type 3 (Coupler combination)
Type 3 (Coupler combination)

Description

A coupler is an aluminum profile used to join two windows in the Series 1500. Since the coupler is an additional profile, it increases the visible width (sight line) at the point of joining the two windows.

Window Designs

Bay window - Series 1500
  • Bay angles can be anywhere between 90 degrees and 180 degrees.
  • BW 1, BW 2 and BW 3 can take any of the following shapes.
  •     Casement open able i.e. designs .
  •     Casement fixed i.e designs .
  •     Slider Two track two panel without mesh i.e design.

Bay window - Series 3000
  • Bay window only comes at 90 degrees angle.
  • The Bay can be formed as follows.
  •     BW 1 can be Casement or fixed or 2T2P without bug screen or T&T.
  •     BW 2 can be casement or slider or T & T.

FS1 (Two track sliding window with fixed member on top)

Description

  • Two movable sliding tracks that slide in opposite directions with fixed member on top.
  • Combination is seamless and within the same plane.
  • Provides 50% opening at any given point.

Recommendation

  • Height of aperture is more than 5 feet.
  • Design flexibility.

FS2 (Three Track Three Panel Sliding window with fixed member on top)

Description

  • Three movable panels are fitted on two tracks with fixed member on top.
  • Combination is seamless and within the same plane.
  • Provides 33% opening at any given point.

  • Height of aperture is more than 5 feet.

Description

Vertical Coupler (CWCLCD1)

Description

Creates a unique door-window combination. Each one operates independently.

Recommended for

  • Kitchens and balconies where doors and windows have to come together.

Advantages

  • Several designs.
  • Ideal for balconies with a narrow opening.
  • Helps maintain architectural symmetry.

Horizontal Coupler (FCLSW1)

Description

Joins a slider window (in the Series 1500) with a fixed window on top. The coupling attaches the ends of the two windows leading to a broad sightline at the joint.

Recommended for

  • Large openings.

Advantages

  • Covers big openings.
  • Fixed portion can be utilized when an exhaust option has to be given..
